Gnome clock weather not updating

But because there were some problems with applications I use daily, I reverted back to my old Android 6.0.1 build. Maybe something with battery optimizations or something?I don't have to mention to you that widgets that aren't updating are very annoying. When I reboot my phone, it updates the widgets one time, and that's that. For example, I have the widget for Google Fit on my home screen, and it is still showing the status from a couple of days ago; when I rebooted my phone.I tried the Android N beta some time ago (I can't remember if the widgets updated then though). But I'm guessing the Android N beta has nothing to do with my problem? Are there some settings that I could have executed that froze my widgets? I have a problem with the original clock widget that comes with the original theme.I removed the widget from the homescreen and then tried to re-apply any theme but the clock widget does not come back and cannot find it in the widgets.I'm so "over" conky now, I only use conky Forecast now and a date|time widget on the desktop. But that's all there is - no CPU temperature (though I can have a look at it in BIOS setup and it's usually 45..50C), no HDD temperature (though a modern SMART enabled HDD has it available), no fan speed, no voltages.

Usually, this is just a weather icon and the current temperature at the selected place, and when I hover the mouse on this display, I get a more verbose information including the perceived temperature ("feels like ...") when it's cold, wind speed and direction, and sunrise/sunset times.

I am dimly aware that in Ubuntu 10.10 with "real" Gnome, this applet was separate from the clock and displayed even more data - like air pressure, and optionally a weather map (which never worked for me). t=869328 But you'll need a working XOAP_LICENCE_KEY key file to use conky Forecast for GMXX0128 Rumor and post at above link suggest XOAP_LICENCE_KEYs may be disabled. Found my key using google for "XOAP_LICENCE_KEY=" and tried many keys until it worked.

Weather for Stuttgart, Germany Last Updated 2013-08-04 PM Forecast High Temp 31 High for today is 31 Low for today is 19 Current Humidity: 58% Fair Sunrise is at AM Sunset is at PM Length of Daylight is m Pollen: 7.2 of 12 UV Index = 2That's roughly what I wanted to do: Access the data source that the Gnome/MATE applet queries every few minutes anyway, and log that to a file.

Note: I do NOT want a forecast, or some edited data, but only rough, current measurements.
